Chase Park Music Festival 2012 is a local collaboration between healthcare and rehabilitation provider Whickham Villa LLP and charity Percy Hedley Foundation, supported by Generator, the UKs leading Music Development Agency.
The free open-air event, will take place from 12.00pm on Saturday 11th of August in Chase Park in Whickham.
We are delighted with this year's line up which is made up of some of the North East's (and beyond) best emerging talent:
Although the festival is organised and attended by many people with disabilities, it is based on the idea of a mainstream event that is open, accessible and enjoyed by everybody in the community.
The Festival is aimed at helping break down barriers and stereotypes often associated with people with disabilities. It is the region’s most inclusive outdoor entertainment event. The family-oriented festival uses music as the foundation to get people from all walks of life together to enjoy a fun-packed carnival atmosphere.
With a stellar line-up, an new additional second arena and a variety of tasty treats and exciting crafts on sale, it is a festival not to be missed!
Come along and enjoy brilliant, live music from some of the North-East's must see bands, or simply appreciate a cold beverage in the beer tent and grab some gourmet cuisine from our selection of local food suppliers. There's plenty for children to do and see including DJ workshops and circus acts.
